cover 和 accomodate的动作主体都是forest，所以两者应该同时用一般过去时构成动作并列。

而且后面那个独立主格也不用加with了，就象each的一样

不是应该用a third of which吗？怎么能用them？我总记得中学的时候就是这样教的，因为之前有个逗号，所以之后要用定语从句~~~~~

a third of them 是独立主格结构，所以不用谓语；如果用a third of which后面就要有谓语了

仔细看各选项，E 是accommodating, C是
as much as.

NN 们啊不是太理解. 如果是独立主格结构结构那它应该修饰的是动词accommodate吧？怎么理解呢

独立主格结构不修饰主句动词，甚至可以与主句没关系，这里就是后者。只说明了大象的情况而已

b 选项错在哪里? 改变原文意思?不太可能吧!感觉covering 就应该是个修饰成分
