不过我觉得，that总领一个宾语从句，but在其中转折一下，应该是researchers agreed that A but B的样子，

                                                     而不是researchers agreedthat A but that B。

楼主太偏执了，作为一个native中国人，既然人家native的google都给出正确答案了，还执着于自己的感觉干什么？咱们做gwd和讨论gwd的目的就是要研究怎样更加native，而不是坚持自己的所谓感觉的，呵呵。
