My opinion:

1, who and whose can't refer financial analysts. So we may exclude A /B.

2, There is no subject Pronoun "those" refer to. So we may exclude C.

3, Compare D with E. Sure E is the best.

Can we use sombody's likehood? It seemed a logic error.

我试着说说我的看法吧:
这题我也错了,选的A
但是2F的解释不同意. analyst本身就是有分析家的意思,who/whose当然可以!

翻阅了1下tonyadidas当年的语法笔记,这么说的:
contrary to popular belief/opinon....可以修饰全句,不存在逻辑主语的问题.

但是仔细看一看这个例子,我就在想,belief, opionn都是一种抽象的概念,是不是contrary to后面只能接抽象的概念呢? 比如"信念,意见,预测,建议,观点...."而不能接实在物体,尤其是"人".
contrary to sb 算是什么回事呢??
所以按照这条,否定了ABC,D是one's doing 错上加错.

所以E

LONGMAN :可以看出没有contrary to somebody的用法.
