E中which is the rival of的表达是unidiomatic的,类似的定语从句应该简化
例如：a habit which is good 肯定不对，应该是a good habit
至于make sth +sth 这个用法肯定没问题，但是只看这个用法，就会忽视which is the rival of的错误。
另外，make sth as sth有没有这个用法，我不知道，请教牛人，或者这里还有什么奥妙？

E从语法上来说并不错误 关键是从句子意思上来理解。powers使letters（作为一个group）成为其他novels的rival。而不是powers使letters成为一个group（此group是其他novels的rival）。作者: Snazzy 时间: 2004-2-26 14:43
