我认为这里削弱的应该是mismatched sleeping and waking cycles
can seriously jeopardize a marriage.

A Married couples in which both spouses follow the same sleeping and waking patterns
also occasionally have arguments than can jeopardize the couple's marriage.
这里occasionally不是否定的意思而是说偶然.所以去除和不去除我觉得关系不大.A并没有针对结论削弱.

去掉occationally只是说明了patterns相同的couple也jeopardize marriage。不能weaken "mismatched patterns jeopardize marriage"
如果原文说mismatched patterns jeopardize marriage more than same patterns，那是weaken。

所以并没有冲突，而且顺着文章的推理过程，不同pattern 的more violent.相同的less　violent

同意。这种题，他因削弱没有用，因为并非完全的充要条件。

就如同“银行破产率partly归因于政府保证制度”那题一样，提供“银行破产是基于资产和负债”的他因，不能削弱原文的推理关系。
