答案是E，为什么不是B，

我觉得as much for。。。as for更对称啊，

请大牛指点，小弟不胜感激！

比较结构重点是对象意思和结构的对称，不单单是形式上的对称。

这道题是很典型的介宾短语的比较结构。你看看正确选项E:

as well known for
            her
            eccentric personality as for
            her skillful wax renderings of popular public figures

介词对介词，所有格对所有格，名词对名词。

而B：

well known as much for having an eccentric personality as for her skillful wax renderings of popular public figures

分词对名词

这样的比较结构是不对的。

我觉的是as much for...as for ... for 后面的不对称

E选项是不是可以理解为:

as well known for
        her
        eccentric personality as (well know 省略）for
        her skillful wax renderings of popular public figures

我个人是觉得(E) as well known for her eccentric personality as for her skillful wax renderings of popular public figures中, as for her skillful wax 前面应该省略了 well known 这个词组, 因为这个省略是可以理解的,所以就省略了,

E项没有as 后面的for对吗？
理由：在平行中说介+a and b对
介+a and 介b对
