标题: 大全NO.60 like & As

1. According to a recent poll, owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land is still a goal of a majority of young adults, like that of earlier generations.

(A) like that of earlier generations

(B) as that for earlier generations

(D) as have earlier generations（E）

(E) as it was of earlier generations

请问为何A不可？ Tks!

A中that是不能这样来指代的。具体可参考that的用法。E中was后省略了a goal,so it is a better choice.

like 做"好像"意思时候,结构是like A, B do.

而且A,B必须是性质完全相同的事物.

这里倒了一下, 即成为 ...is a goal of..., like A.

此处则为 B(owning and living ) is..., like A.

由此可推得此处A要用一个动作性名词, 来与B比较, 而不是 goal 来做比较对象.

所以如果 like 不能跟that of earlier generations,

上课听来的, 不知道lz看法如何.
