答案(D) 为什么D选项动词可以用单数呢

因为前面用了as much as 20% of the leaf and small stem material 说明了作者把leaf 和small stem material 看成一个不可数的整体

有百分比或分数出现的时候其主语是of后面的中心词，在这里是material,所以后面的动词使用单数形式。
