B changes...., a change...不对称,错!加上 a change 后面的that职代不明确
C 个人觉得相比之下是正确答案,但是 there be + changes 好象不妥,这也是AB选项的通病.
D once 和 used to 语意重复,同时once , but 没有完整主句.错
E 语法没有问题,也很简洁,但是我觉得改写了原句的意思,而且主动改被动.

But the question is that isn’t change an abstract noun? Or, in your perspective there-be structure is not always wrong unless there-be refers to a fishy abstract noun like “there is a hypothesis”, right?
