A: correct

B: 没有谓语，（wether or not没有与之对应的主句）

C: 两个句子并列没有联词（

D: whether … or … 不平行

E: it affects … 不是主语从句的用法

这道题选出答案是没问题，可是不理解C项的解释，whether 不是连词吗？我排除这个选项是因为it的指代有有歧义。

请大家解惑。

whether引导的应该是主语从句吧~

"Whether or not Taiwan develops a closer relationship with mainland China or the status quo is preserved" 整句就是主语了. C里又来个it, 就变成两个主语了.

哦，可是，我觉得it可以充当形式主语阿，来代替前面的整个句子，否则会显得头大身子小。是不是本选项的主要错误应该是whether or , ...or ....的用法呢？

如果视it 为形式主语, 恰好可以解释两个句子并列没有连词.

这个选项比较难看的地方是 or the status quo is preserved,其一,被动语态:有悖能用主动不用被动惯例.不但和前句的主动语态不平行,且 the status qua 做主语,句子含义不够clear;同时,把可以用一主两谓清晰表达的结构变成了两个并列的句子,有悖简洁原则.

这个选项不值得LZ深入探讨,因为它不是好结构--知道它不是好的选项, 不好在哪里, 蛮好了, 你说呢?

再罗嗦一句, 这个选项的大结构就不是好结构, 见到就PASS掉.
