答案选B, 我选C, 不明白C哪里错了？从句套从句也是可以的吧

C' tense illustrate that this is a fact not a willing that would happen if they did not hold it!

谢谢seastone GG，但是我还是不太明白，原句不就是if they did not hold it, 然后illustrate a fact 吗？

是不是C的not ever要改成never?

OG 中好像有说not ever属于wordy应改成never

个人觉得E也没错呀，难道用倒装语气变强故而排除吗？

这题我也选E, 觉的答案B中的without怪怪的，觉得倒装比without好

if A happens, B will happen . 题目中assumed that 引导，所以变成 if A happened , B would happen.

E 选项中的it 从语法上可以指代 Algeria ，所以E 不对。况且在描述一样的情况下，为什么要倒装，不是更加繁杂吗？

B的答案我觉得很完美阿~使用主动语态。without 引导条件状语，would 表示可能对应assumed
