7, Because natual gas is composed mostly of metrane,a simple hydrocarbon,vehicles powered by natural gas emit less of certain pollutants than the burning of gasoline or diesel fuel.

A: less of certain pollutants than the burning gasoline or diesel fuel.

E: less of certain pollutants than those burning gasoline or diesel fuel.

我解题如下：

主句如果不用比较级：vehicles powered by natural gas emit certain pollutants

vehicles powered by the burning of gasoline or diesel fuel emit certain pollutants 。

用比较级，根据白勇讲解，两句主语谓语相同可省略，保留做状语的介词短语或状语从句，所以认为选A呀，另外如果选Ethose指代的是谁呀？？？如果象我这样还愿回两个独立句子，第二句是什么呢？

vehicles是比较对象，those就是指vehicles。

比较可以省主语、谓语，但是如果补出，绝不能补错

还是不明白，如果those指代vehicles than后面句子也不通呀.

自己顶起来，这类比较题对我来说一直很难，所以谁能把解题思路告诉我呀
