国内top大学04小本，打算08飞跃，marketing PHD

想取取经啦，我现在是G与T齐缺（有待拼搏），paper共research具无（research有希望找个老师跟着做），就先不用结合我的背景了。

泛泛而言各位达人说说本科申marketing PHD的前景如何？

美国排名多少（综合排名和商学院排名）的学校值得花五年的时间去读？

This is an interesting question. You must know what you want to get from the doctoral study. Most programs are designed to prepare you for a career in academia. If you can find a good supervisor to follow, it will worth your time and efforts.

Yes, the ranking itself is not as important as what you do and with who. It also depends on where you want to go post-PhD.

I think schools in the top 30 in general and top 10 in the particular specialization should have relatively good placement and worth your time. But if you don't really care about placement, any school in the top 100 is good for you.

There are great b-schools outside of US too. For example, INSEAD and LBS both offer top doctoral programs.
