只有当and连接的是两个完整的句子的时候才能加逗号
我认为amounting和representing的逻辑主语应该是plan,表示Plan的一个状态。但是plan amount to five miles per gallon逻辑意思错。因此要加上increase表述更加清楚。
所以我觉得A反了一个effectiveness的错误。
我不太同意楼上的观点,现在分词放在句末作修饰只有两种情况,一是表示前面句子所引发的结果,这个是不需要逻辑主语的。另外一种就是伴随主句的动作同时发生的动作,逻辑主语是主句主语。如果是表示修饰前面词语的话,除非是插入成分,否则需要紧跟所修饰的内容,不要添加标点符号。插入成分的那种可以举个例子,我记得Perp上有一道题,中间部分是 that the elephant, giving rides to children at the Whipsnade Zoo, had been earning, 这种情况下是修饰elephant,作为插入语。
我觉得LZ看这道题还是要看后面内容跟前面主句的逻辑关系,-ing放句尾的两种情况在本句中都不符合逻辑意思,同位语表达清晰,答案选D
