我认为这里用recent还是用recently要根据句意重心来判断，原文强调的是slump造成了problem，而没有强调extend这个动作，所以最好用形容词来直接修饰slump,而不是用副词去修饰extended

所以用recent當形容詞形容這一整各名詞
