这题答案是E

可是想请问E中的they是指代other animals和题目中的their指代chimpanzees，不是会发生指代不一致的问题吗??

结果我就因此选了D

whether...or whether 引导两个并列句,也就是说their 和they分别在两个句子,而非一个句子中,所以不存在指代不一致的问题.
