答案是B,

我认为:1,with
more than 75 carefully engineered structures 在scale后以相当于限制性定语的功能修饰scale.

2, 那of up to 600 rooms each?是修Scale 还是修structures 还是settlements? 如果修scale , 那with,...和of 两个短语应有and 连接.而且为什么不都用with or of?

3,connected 修谁? structures or scale or settlements?

同意楼上的，有两个介词短语修饰 scale ： 1）with more than... structurs 2） of up to 600 rooms each room connected by...road。

因为2）太长了所以后置，这种结构不用and连接。OG 10th 里面有这样的例子。

我的理解是：“with
more than 75 carefully engineered structures”、“of up to 600 rooms each”和“connected by a complex regional system of roads”都是修饰Anasazi settlements 的，Anasazi settlements 也是主句的逻辑主语。“of up to 600 rooms each”中的“each”应该指的是each settlement。

我的理解是，with短语修饰settlements，of短语是插入语修饰structures ，connnected修饰的是structures
