119 The decision by one of the nation's largest banks to admit to 3$ billion in potential losses on foreign loans could mean less lending by commercial banks to developing countries and increasing the pressure on multigovernment lenders to supply the funds.

A increasing the pressure

B the increasing pressure

C increased pressure

D the pressure increased

E the pressure increasing

OG 的答案是C。为什么B不对呢？ the increasing pressure 也是一个偏正结构嘛，和less lending 一致嘛

B没有语法错误但从意思上的平行来说increasing(正在增加的)平行结构不好

increasing 强调过程， increased强调结果，从前面的less lending看，应该是强调的是结果，所以用increased

我也正为这题苦脑，但是从我的理解来看， increased 应该与could mean 并列，这样比较好理解，

less lending 和 increased pressure 更能体现平行对称啊。

因为less lending前面没有the，我个人认为是最简单的排除方法了。

我觉得加了the以后,重心就放在increasing了,确实和前面less不平行
