答案是D,但E为什么错呢?E中最后不能表伴随吗?

不是NN，试着解释一下。尽管我也选了E

两点：

1。用来做thermometer的，是 the number of chirps ，而不像一般题目里面说得是整句句子做主语

2。can在这里不能省略吧，possibly和can的愿意也不一样

应该和serving修饰的对象有关，E不能清楚地表现出是什么serving
