我也是没搞清楚D和E的差别选了E,有没有NN来指导一下啊

明显这个author 是想反对money has been wasted 的，而 “since over the last decade a substantial number of new industrial facilities that emit these pollutants have been built." 恰好就支持了作者整个推理的最终意图，也就是D选项中“support the reasoning’s contention”。而E选项中说“support that position”中的“that ”实际上是指前半句话“The first is a position that the reasoning contends is inadequately supported by the evidence” 俺涂黑了的那个position;作者显然不会支持这样的一个position 啦！呵呵，希望我讲明白了！
