答案是 D, 为什么?

A,B不好 at its 1833 founding会让人觉得有几个founding,而实际上一个学校只有一个founding

动词的话最好不要用名词来表达动词意思,因此D的in deciding比C,E中的decision好

且decide to do 是习惯搭配 D是最佳选项

本题的主线是 ... was insitution in deciding to accept...
