For years the beautiful Renaissance buildings in Palitito have been damaged by exhaust from the many tour buses that come to the city. There has been little parking space, so most buses have idled at the curb during each stop on their tour, and idling produces as much exhaust as driving. The city has now provided parking that accommodates a third of the tour buses, so damage to Palitito's buildings from the buses' exhaust will diminish significantly.

正确答案是C. 但是我觉得C和E都挺有道理的。经常会觉得没有办法区分哪个更加的‘support'，向NN请教有没有什么好办法可以选中那个‘most support'的。

我觉得是这样，结论是damage to Palitito's buildings from the buses' exhaust will diminish significantly

C 是这个结论的其中一个原因，直接支持结论。

E 是buildings in Palitito have been damaged by exhaust from the many tour buses that come to the city的一个原因。

选E的原因可能没有分清楚谁是结论吧。不知道是不是这样：）

我觉得因为题目结论中明确说了只是减少了汽车造成的损害"so damage to Palitito's buildings from the buses' exhaust will diminish significantly",与其他无关.所以排除B

题目中有There has been little parking space, so most buses have idled at the curb during each stop on their tour, and idling produces as much exhaust as driving

C的意思是driving的时间只有1/4，那么idle的时间有可能接近3/4

B is out of scope.

The city has now provided parking that accommodates a third of the tour buses,因此E只是这么做的一个结果
