(E)        when great ice sheets existed in areas now that are temperate

OG对E的解释是now是副词，应该放在动词are的后面，所以错，对这句话有点不理解了

B 和E请楼主翻译一下,是不是感觉B更通顺更清楚呢,我觉得这个题还是比较典型的就是遇到这样翻译的句子时,如何用WHAT来表达这样的句子

lz把E修饰的成分换过来就明白为什么不对了，in that age great ice sheets existed in areas(that are temperate) now .一个句子两个时间状语。因为你的now放在这里就是修饰existed,而existed我们是根据in that age 判断为过去时态的。你觉得呢？
