答案是B。为什么这道题不能选择C呢？在我看来C是很好的省略了被动语态助动词“be”的并列结构。(superiority over/to都成立)

白勇解释C说，and连接Once从句和名词短语its superiority不对称，可我看来这里根本就是在Once状语从句连接词下的the economic and social usefulness of the motor和its superiority之间的对称关系么（如果说不需要superiority of the motor这么工整对称的话），再者B选项的过去完成时也毫无时间根据啊…

楼上的讲明白些，句型平衡怎么平衡？and应当连接并列句，两遍是应当平衡，平衡就可以安心的省略助动词be了，或者还有别的什么说法？

C選項的superiority用法錯誤,正確用法如下:
