请问c,和e表达上的区别？

还有they为什么在e中就指代没有歧义，在c就不行了呢？

有什么顺序么？我只知道应该优先指代主语。。。。显然在这里判断时候没用。。。

C里面的on earth是修饰整个句子的，在地球上，the rate at which trees grow is believed to be among...
暗含在别的星球上the rate at which trees grow 是不是 believed to be among...就不知道了

E里面的on earth是修饰 the surest indications of sunspot cycles 的，在地球上的indication，这个意义比较合理

个人感觉，请大家批评指正～

选项里没THEY啊

不过ON EARTH有究竟的意思哦，是副词，放在句首可能有歧义

如果在句中就是介词

是个全倒结构

这个解释合理，可是有NN说是指代问题，我就不明白了。。。哎。。。本来指代就不明白：

NN说：

A: among倒装，主语应该是the rate所以用单数is

B: 同上

C: their的指代存在歧义，离它最近的是sunspot cycles

D: believed应该用被动

E: correct

把题看清楚找到they了呵呵，我觉得C的指代没问题啊，as在这里做代词代替前面的句子（简单句），their就是指前面的逻辑主语而不是cycles，我的理解就是on earth的问题，不知道对8对，请N人指点

选E不选C可能是倒装的原因。原文是倒装结构---XDF说倒装结构表示强烈语气，一般要和原文一样。

晕啊，这道题俺实在是弄不懂。E项的their如果按照就近原则，就应该修饰rings啊。

因为是指年轮在树干的横切面可以看到

如果their指代rings，句意就会变成年轮在「年轮」的横切面

关键是因为这儿不是划线部分的内容，所以，我们只能朝着正确的方向理解，但是，如果这个地方是划线部分的话，这种表达容易引起歧义，对不？

想请教倒装句的考法:倒装句通常是考谓语和后面名词的主谓一致.请NN指点一下,1,怎么判断一句话是倒装.2.怎么能找到正确的主语.

因为倒装句和中文的习惯非常不同,我一般没做必错的,跟本不知道在说什么

1). 介词短语置前则倒装。the rate显然是主语。
2). as seen 修饰就近的trees更合理，而不是C答案中的sunspot cycles. 这样their trunks中的their指代trees也很自然。

我觉得应该是：

As seen in the rings visible in the cross sections of their trunks, the rate at which trees grow is believed to be among the surest indications on Earth of sunspot cycles.

这里的“be among”感觉是看出首否倒装的一个障碍，因为一般倒装很少看到表语是介词短语的系表结构。
