手上只有这两个offer, 不知道如何挑选. I wanna go into the consulting business in the future and neither schools are particularly strong in that but they all have things i like and dislike:
LBS
pros: 1. london location better prospects for employment at IB and other international firms
2. academic strength in finance
cons: 1. notorious living expenses in london
2. my assumption is that in comparison the style may be more conservative and less open than US schools
Duke
pros: 1. Young and vibrant student community
2. less expensive living expenses
cons: 1. less well-known comparing to LBS if seeking jobs in Asia Pacific
2. academic strength not as strong as LBS
These are only my opinions. Wish CDers could give me some advise here, thanks a million!!
On parity. If you want to go consulting after grduation, why did you apply these two schools? Neither of them is particularly strong in consulting area.
Anyway, LBS seems a better choice to me.
Duke is for general management.British people is not so kind !!!
Check out the "London Bloggers School" webpage, looks like LBS is also a place full of open & fun people, many of them will go to finance after graduation.
LBS is a much better choice when comparing to fuqua, although fuqua is quite good too.
You should also find out which school has a better placement in consulting. Anyway, LBS is a lot more famous!

thanks for all the kind advises, from my understanding LBS has better job placements in IB and consulting than Fuqua but Fuqua enjoys a sound reputation in terms of overall fun learning approach..so if in terms of return on investment (in dollar values) then LBS is the better choice and if return on investment (in personal experience) then maybe Fuqua...
LBS is in the same level with Magic 7, personally thinking.
Anyway, you decide.
Of course, LBS....
