我选的是E，as A as B，AB应该并列啊？答案是B，disturbing 和 they are compelling怎么并列啊？谢谢

这题首先从时态来判断不能用完成时。

they were disturbing 和 they are compelling并列。

另外这道题的时态表达的意思是过去，过去的行为影响没有持续到现在，所以只能用过去时态排除CDE

主语是复数只能选B

你这里说的as, like的用法与比较中表在某方面相同的as..as是两码事，as..as中的as后当然可以接短语，关键是比较的两者平行

如lzm中例句 A migraine typically afflicts one side of the head, lasts for hours or days, and may recur as infrequently as once every other month or as often as daily.

同意LS，两码事

平行是比较对象的平行对称，as...as...结构应该是 A as 形容词副词之类的 as B，这里A和B才并列

我试着来解释一下，因为主语+谓语+as+adj/adv原级+as 比较对象，比较的是AS 前和AS后的东西，如果不加主谓，就变成了compelling for ours和 powerful style and his choices of subject对比了，这样肯定是不行的。
