乍一看划线部分(我划的),怎么好象觉得immediately是死得快的意思？修饰die
但是我第一次读文章理解immediately是刚好，没多久，修饰时间after,before,during
二．觉得Ｅ也有点对（如果老人有强烈的求生欲望，在节日期间的死亡率就低些）
不知道大家是怎么排除Ｅ选项的啊？
嗯,我今天才看了这道题,有这样的体会:
我觉得题目主要是在强调the "will" prolong the life ,而will是体现在过religious holiday上
我自己的理解是:
题目的scope是限定在了过 important religious holiday,而且at least for short periods of time这句我觉得也暗示了是在谈religious holiday这个问题
而且,E还有个错误是,题目都说的是信仰宗教的老人,E提到的是广泛概念的老人
个人意见,不一定对哈,参考下吧

E说的是许多重要宗教日集中在春秋---死亡低发季节。所以死亡原因归结为和季节有关，而非和宗教。
