setting在这里表示伴随状语修饰emancipation吗？

为什么不能选择D，与stunned构成并列关系呢？D错的原因仅仅是因为the的位置的问题吗？

从逻辑上来说，set free与stun也不应该是并列的关系。

fill a deed是stun的原因，set free是fill a deed的伴随结果

还是感觉有点迷惑。。。

可不可以这样理解：setting是的解放契约签订伴随状语，用来解释这个deed，仅仅内容是要求释放奴隶，并没有开始真正释放奴隶。

这个题不是冠词the的问题吗,D项中把the放在500前面意思是特指了一部分,言外之意还释放了不属于他的奴隶

虽然我也不怎么搞得清楚,就乱说两句:

句子的伴随状语,不一定要是修饰前面那个词的吧,修饰的是整个句子,setting的动作发出者是句子的主语
