我的思路：award的用法（award sth. to sb./award sb. sth.）排除A，B
C似乎是因为非限定性定语从句不如同位语简洁？
D后面的for long-overdue为什么错？E后面的in long-overdue又为什么对呢？
请大家帮忙！

D is wrong because it means that the purpose of the medal is only for overdue recognition, while E says that the medal should have been awarded a long time ago.

寒MM建议你去看看插入语的用法巴这道题D有个很致命的问题，就是the nation’s highest military award,后面少了一个逗号导致后面整体修饰不清，有了逗号the nation’s highest military award，这部分就是插入语，而后面修饰的就是the Congressional Medal of Honor，很清楚了你去看看OG上面梵高那个桥的题，你就很清楚了

还有你搜的时候输入GWD29,不要前面那个-，就能搜到了
