A. their horny jaws function for teeth

B.its horny jaws function for teeth

c.its horny jaws function as do teeth

D.the horny jaws function as teeth do

E.the horny jaws function as teeth

e对, B: its 指代错为什么?

B its指代没有明显错误, 是function as的用法错了

function as sth后面不能加do的

its确实是指代the specis,之前说大部分乌龟没牙，后面说有几类有……，这里的代词明显指特殊的这几类，而不是the turtle.
