答案是A，为什么B不可以？比较的是metabolism啊

were为什么错了前面那个新陈代谢如果是看做所有动物的集合含义这里可以用复数

A的比较对象显然错了

我觉得该题目答案是B

meta在这里做集合名词后面可以用were 比较对象上显然A不对
