Purdue is a good school although its overall ranking is not high. It makes sense for a big public college.
Krannert is a good choice for me based on my interest and background. Also, location is a big issue for me.
Anyway, Krannert is not bad for an old family man.

Not decided yet, I think the safety is not the issue. If you use the priceline or other online services, then the price will be fair. I will update if I find any good deal. I believe that meeting some chinese students on friday should be a good idea.

I used the priceline before and the price is pretty cool in some big cities like Chicago and Boston. Never tried the hotels in Lafayette area. If anyone did, please share the experience with us. Thanks.
