标题: 两个语法拿不准，请帮忙！
1、The [firstly ]naval battle of the Revolutionary War was[ fought off] the coast of Machias, Maine [in] June 1775.

2、___ that distinguish human beings from mother primates are related to the ability of people to stand upright and walk on two legs.
(A) Many of the physical characteristics
(B) Of the many physical characteristics
(C) The physical characteristics
(D) There are many physical characteristics

1、A----FIRST

2、首先排除B、D，B的介词短语不能做主语。C和D我也拿不准，但我倾向于A，A没有任何毛病，C的THE有些嫌疑。答案是什么？

我不知道答案，这两道题是以前做过的错题，我忘了记答案了。
第一题：我也选first
第二题：我也是a和c搞不准

第二题A读起来比较顺，但翻译过来好像有点问题，而C应该没什么大问题。
我更倾向C

A好, C句义不对, 人和猿的区别不应该全与直立行走有关

are related to 是谓语,前面显然是名词做主语,且that distinguish human beings from mother primates 是主语的定语从句,那么只有A和C了,A和C语法上都是正确的,C名词做主语,后面接定语从句.选择A是从意思上的角度,many of the physical characteristics而不是(all of)the physical characteristics更客观一点

查到这道题了, 题目给错了 C 的完全选项是 the physical characteristics are many, 只有A对了
