The IDS department finished last week the initial screening of our applications. At this time, your application is not in the top tier of those we are pursuing; so it is unlikely that we will be able to make you an offer this year. If you have other offers, I would suggest your pursuing those at this time. In the meantime, we will hold your application; and, if things change, we will contact you to see if there is still interest. Please note that ours is a highly competitive program, admitting only about 5% of those who apply. So, you should not consider this as a personal statement on your fine qualifications. We wish you well on what should be a promising career moving into the future. Thank you for considering us in your plans.

谢谢楼上，申请这东西也挺靠运气的（当然在不牛的情况下），所以保持好心态最重要，卡卡。
