这题我选了B，答案给D，我觉得D中的adding再这里修饰不明确，如果说是伴随结果

的话，应该是伴随原句的动作，但是原句是It is estimated.....。除非理解为原句是during

the 1980’s approximately $50 billion in private investment capital left Mexico，这个选

项才成立。我不知道这样的分词做伴随结果用法用在宾语从句中到底算修饰的哪个部

分，是修饰宾语从句还是修饰主句呢？？B又为什么错呢》？？

我觉得B最主要的错误是使得left 和added平行，这样$50million 做added的主语，显然不妥---因为是$离开本土这一现象added....,而不是$本身。

下面是一点个人感觉，仅供参考。
你说的D中的有可能的修饰歧义，我也曾疑惑过。不知你发现没有，ETS里不少题如果真要跟它较真儿的话，还真能找出一些类似这样的例子来。不过，在很权威的英文杂志里，上题这样的用法倒是很常见。

也许这就是一个度的问题：深究到什么程度才能更好地体会ETS的出题思路？答案很模糊。所以我们大家来到这里切磋。

Two errors for B:

1. 我觉得B最主要的错误是使得left 和added平行，这样$50million 做added的主语，显然不妥---因为是$离开本土这一现象added....,而不是$本身。--agree

2. "During the 1980's " modifies "approximately $50 billion in private investment capital left Mexico", not "it is estimated"

adding在这里做什么成分呢？对这题还是很晕～
