Does anyone have a GLOBAL ranking for marketing programs? I could only find one for US schools (attached below). But how are NON-US schools ranked? (e.g. INSEAD, LBS, etc.) Is there a WORLD WIDE ranking for marketing programs?

I assume you are talking about PhD program, then you may wish to go to http://citm.utdallas.edu/utdrankings/rankingbydate.aspx. Check it out for the ranking of non-US.schools. You may also want to check with placement record. It is the most important predictor for the reputation of a PhD program (and that's why duke is NOT that top as a matter of fact).
In terms of publication at JCR,JMR,JM,Mktg Sci 2000-2006, the top 10 (worldwide)would be as follows.
Rank | University Name | Number of Articles | Total Weight |
1 | University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton School) | 78 | 41.42 |
2 | Columbia University (Columbia Graduate School of Business) | 57 | 30.70 |
3 | Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management) | 50 | 30.47 |
4 | New York University (Leonard N. Stern School of Business) | 52 | 27.92 |
5 | Duke University (The Fuqua School of Business) | 54 | 27.70 |
6 | University of Florida (Warrington College of Business) | 44 | 26.57 |
7 | University of Southern California (Marshall School of Business) | 44 | 25.42 |
8 | University of Chicago (Graduate School of Business) | 43 | 25.25 |
9 | University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (Ross School of Business) | 43 | 25.03 |
10 | University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA Anderson School of Management) | 38 | 20.75 |
Thanks for the great info, bobwangwb & kndx!!! I guess that there is no comprehensive ranking that considers every factor, right??
To summarize:
when choosing a program, it is important to look at:
* the department's publication records
* placement records
* size of the deparment
* faculty's research interests
