Q1:

So dogged were Frances Perkins’
investigations of the garment industry, and her lobbying for wage and hour
reform was persistent, Alfred E. Smith and Franklin D. Roosevelt recruited
Perkins to work within the government, rather than as a social worker.

and her lobbying for wage and hour reform was persistent,
and lobbying for wage and hour reform was persistent, so that
her lobbying for wage and hour reform persistent, that
lobbying for wage and hour reform was so persistent,
so persistent her lobbying for wage and hour reform,that 答案是E,可我认为是C ,因为第一个小句子已经主谓完整了, 根据so that...,就应为C, 划线部分充当状语从句. 如果选E,划线部分对应开头第一句也不失为一种思路,可也应补出谓语动词was呀,所以我认为E错.大家是怎么看的?

两题都不符合现有规律，但我会选E，理由是OG中为出语法而语法的情况极少－不会造出生硬的句子就是为了考语法，语法只是表达逻辑的工具。E选项尽管有问题，但意思表达没有任何问题－－因为前面两个原因，XX雇佣她

此题是某NEW YORK TIMES上的原文记得某位前辈曾经找到过,但帖子我暂时找不到

所以我怀疑是不是题目错了

选E啊！平行结构中的省略，and连接两个平行结构，不是比较结构，为什么一定要补出谓语was呢？
