Thanks all for your helpful information on PhD applications! I got an email from the PhD coordinator today about the admission. Good luck to all of us!

It is my pleasure to inform you that the finance department has
recommended that you be admitted. The formal letter will take a few days
and will come from the Ph.D. office. I will email you the copy as soon
as it is ready. Congratulations.

We all look forward to your coming to Minnesota.

Thanks. They didn't interview me. I was surprised because the PhD office said they would have interviews first and then make offers afterwards.

Didn't know you got offer that early! bad feelings now. I just looked at thegradcoffee and no one post news about Carlson there. Can you tell me who contact you through email?
