能解释下吗？答案是d

习惯搭配the price of sth.

what引导名词性从句，做of的宾语。

不太同意MBZ的观点

同楼上所述,charge for sth with sth.应该是没有错的,否则就不会被出题者放在后面没划线处. 这里讨论的是as的用法是否正确.  显然用在这里不对:把句子中间的per milligram盖住,也就是说这种新的增发药被以含有同样活性物质的药物的三倍价钱所出售.   what指代后者的价钱.  ** is being sold for three times the price of what ***我觉得满好~

个人意见,有问题还请高手指正~

看完楼上两位GG话实在觉得晕晕晕啊

对于六楼的说法如果three times 后面直接加of what,觉得这应该是GMAT认为的错误表述啊?xx times 后面除了加as many/much as之外最常见的就应该是接the + N 或者直接加 what形式了吧?

另在google上搜到一个句子
When CD's debuted in the mid-1980's, record labels sold the shiny discs for $18, more than double the price of what they charged for the same music on LP's and cassettes that cost more to manufacture.

这种表述应该是没有错误吧?

事实上， Charge the price of what 是
  对的，但因为这里charge 后置了，所以有修饰what 之嫌，从而造成歧义。

P.S.  Don't rely on google only, because many people like you and me published articles there.

If per milligram were omitted, it is ok to say:
    A new hair-growing drug is being sold for three times the price that the drug’s maker charges for another product with the same active ingredient. 逻辑上的意思是：A new drug is sold for 3 times the price X. the drug's maker charges price X for another product. 但是在题目中，如果用that违反两个原则：1）非限定定语从句先行词是物品时，引导词只能是which; 2）定语从句要紧跟先行词。
     看看price的一种用法： The project originally aimed for a price of 100 United States dollars.
     如果将 three times the price 看作是 three times the price of xxx$ 的省略形式， 那么 of what 作为答案可以好理解一点？毕竟three times 应该指数字上的关系。
