搜索过了这题没人问过, 选B, 其他答案都有明显错误, 我的问题是, B中的swimming...分词作状语到底是起什么作用? 感觉即不是结果也不是伴随, 逻辑意思怪怪的,好象说设立了一个记录,同时游了多远...貌似C的意思更好一些, 游了多远, 因此设立了记录, 分词表结果, 就是有AND...怀疑是不是加多了
B好啊. 意思也没什么问题吧? GE 成功的游过了channel.....并且创造了个纪录. 而后面的swimming就是描述这个纪录啊....
我个人觉得C选项那个setting前的and怎么看怎么不顺眼

我觉得 B 里面的 swimming the distance... 是 but also 分句中的伴随状语，起补充说明作用——怎样创纪录。
C 如果去掉 and，将 setting 作伴随，表结果也是可以的，但这样无法突出“不但游过去，而且创纪录”的原意
而且，swam the distance in almost two hours faster than 这个 in 的表达我觉得是错误的，要么说 in 2 hrs ，要么说 2 hrs faster than；in 2 hrs faster than 这样夹杂的表达不对
