I applied for Jan.15 and just get invite to on campus interview

anyone also receive it?

What questions does USC usually ask ???

I am in L.A, no financial documents provided with application. I received the invitation for on-campus interview on Pacific time 2/5/2007. I replied the invitation with my preferred date; however, have not heard from them yet. Has anyone got the confirmation of the interview date from the school? Thanks and good luck with everybody!!!

I was interviewed by Alicia Valencia, associate director. My interview took about half hour. She asked some standard questions such as my short-term and long-term goals. Only strange question she asked me was when I got a negative feedback and how I dealt with it. Haha, I asked her more questions than she asked me.

All standard questions from her. She did not take too many notes. One annoying thing is that she kept nodding and nodding and nodding. Her continuous nodding kinda disturbed my thoughts. Also, probably because she is an Asian, it was hard to get her interested or excited. No much chemistry.

The most weird thing happened to me. I received invitation for on-campus interview from Joanne via email on 2/5/07. I replied to her right way with my preferred interview date. However, I did not hear back from her. So one week later, I sent her a remaining email; still no response from her. Eventually, I called her last Friday, and I was very surprised to find out that she has actually replied to me twice, but somehow, I did not receive her emails. She thought I was not interested since her emails to me did not bounce back. We confirmed the date and location for my interview over the phone. I just feel so lucky - what if her first email (the invitation to campus interview) got lost??? The reason I wrote this story is to encourage you guys to pick up the phone in situations like this. Good luck!

For those who are interviewing with Kellee, she may ask you this question: if you can have dinner with anybody in the world, live or dead, who are you going to invite and why?

She didn't ask me any tough question. Use stories to demonstrate your points. Don't be uptight, sound like you know what you are doing even if you may not.

Hi!

Just finished interview with Alicia this morning.

Very standard questions, such as:

what do you want to do after MBA?
why MBA?
One question that I did not prepare is "why do you swtich your career?" I told her it is not a totally different direction, and blah blah... I definitely asked her more questions than she asked me.

The interview is not tough at all. Relax and good luck with everyone!!

Thank you Liulei for sharing. I searched several threads and found many not-so-typical questions such as "If you had 100,000, what will you do?" I was pretty nervous when I saw those questions. Good to hear that you had very standard questions.

According to BusinessWeek, in 2006, 54 percentage of all applicants (admitted and denied) to the class of newest full-time entrants who were interviewed.

95 percent of the admitted applicants to the newest full-time class who were interviewed

hi Sunxiaowei,

If I understand your message correctly, "54% of all applicants were interviewed for last year"; and also i learned from Marshall's website that their admission rate for last year is about 36%, which means everyone of us who received the invitation for interview has a(36%/54%=)66.7% chance of getting admitted eventually. Not Bad at all!!

Also, you said "95 percent of the admitted applicants to the newest full-time class who were interviewed", means that you might still get in without an invitatioin for interview. So do not loose heart if you have not received an invitation yet!!

Just get back from the interview with Kellee Scott

She is such a nice interviewer. The chemistry is so good. Standard questions, friendly, interactive......and a lot of questions about activities

She asked me if I have a chance to be on the cover of a magazine, which one will i pick? Why?
Three words to describe urself....
She even told me in the end that if I get stress from other school to make a decision before the end of March(they will offer admission for R2 applicatants),I should contact with her.

Don't worry about interview with her. Just be urself and more personal stories.

I think she likes it.

Joshlo0101, we had pretty similar questions, and "contact her if I got other offers" is also what she used to end my interview.
