答案D，information 是whether 从句的同位语。

我曾选A。我是这么考虑的：
Corporations will soon be required to report to...and (required) that ...。
我这么考虑有道理吗？还是说这样的平行根本不行，或是如果这样对称的话，that ....从句有和前面的whether....从句并列的嫌疑？

如果与wether并列，主要动词就变成report，选项中的虚拟就不必要了

这个结论好像不是绝对的吧。og里面就有partly to acquire... and partly because...的例子啊（og204）。

这道题我也有疑惑，为什么不选A呢？而且意思上应该也差不多啊。

i think A is right! the patten is 'the corporations r required to report .... and than the information be published ...' 1, require to do sth 2, require that + subjuctive moon

主要是A的意思改变了。变成必须向政府报告，在年度报告中发布这些信息。

另外说的选项中的虚拟指的是什么？

原因是这里的information不能成为由require导出的和whether...并列的结构，从逻辑意思上看，information指的是是否有necessary reserve to pay the pension benifits earned by their employees的信息，这一信息必须公布. 事实上这里的information应该隶属whether里说的这件事情。

choice A has no logical confusion. THE INFORMATION refers WHETHER ...... and in choice D, 'information' should have 'the' . please give an explanaiton

If "information" here is parallele with "whether" governed by require, then "information" has no reference. information about what? if you answer that "information" refers to "whether...", in fact this is the solely sound answer here, why not just put it as 同位语?

Besides,even if "be required to" and "be required that" can be parellele---which i take leave to doubt--- why not just express the whole idea as " be required to report to the government whether... and (to) publish the information in...", which is certainly clearer and less awkward?

"be required to do, require that" are idiomatic.

But I never heard ' be required that' is idiomatic. So A must be wrong.

关于这题，就只搜索到这一个讨论帖，我做的时候也选了A，同意前面的讨论，A的错误是"and that information be published"既不能跟whether对称（虚拟语气不对），也不能跟"to report ..."对称（require的用法不对），就算能与上诉两者对称，还是错误，因为不知道infromtion refers what? 但正确答案D，是名词做名词性从句的同位语，名词可与名词性从句对称，名词也可以做名词性从句的同位语，可以这样理解吗？除了这题，还有没有类似的例子呢？

A中that the information be published代入前文变为：Corporations will soon be required that the information be publisd 明显不对

B、C中“THAT" 从句不如“EARNED BY " 好，

D: 句子，名词，错

从原文的意思来看，应该是：C is required to report and ( to ) publish的表述为最佳，所以本题只有一种可能性的答案：(E) earned by their employees and publish the information

E不对啊~

corporations be required to report就算后面有平行，也是原形，所以不能理解为published是required结构的一部分

我的理解是：

A：require to do and (require) that无法平行

B：两个that从句在功能上不一致，特别第二个无法与benefits搭配

C：不说别的，benefits that was earned就错了

E：见上方

这个句子的同位方式好像没有见过，多读两遍也就熟了，蛮通的~

默念了好多遍，发现ETS真的是tricky，放个whether在那让人顿生n多狐疑。

试着很牵强的把whether那句在保留句子功能上的基础上简化，意思当让是有差别了，别care！

Corporation will soon be required to report to the government the necessary reserves to pay the pension benefits, information that must be published in annual reports to shareholders.

这样似乎很容易明白information句是补充说明reserves句，也就是没有简化之前的whether句。
