第二题,首先是the cost to the US petroleum industry 优于The US petroleum industry's cost,其次cost不是人为能project的,而只能被estimate

第一个第三题,这里没有明显的因果关系,$50 billion 的损失是因为 medical expense and lost work time不是因为前面那各分句

但是我觉得A中和B中的they都指代不好,如果指代Americans,那后面接的动词cost用法错误,其主语应该是物,如果指代workdays又与其后的lost work time重复且罗嗦,再补充一点workdays能cost medical expense吗?

第二题 刘振民的解释是by the end of yhe dacade.
