In 1933 the rubber , clothing , and shipbuilding industries put into effect a six- hour workday , believing it a seeming permanent accommodation rather than a temporary expedient for what many observers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology .
A believing it a seeming permanent accommodation rather than a temporary expedient for what many observers thought was
B believing it a seeming permanent accommodation instead of a temporary expedient for what many observers thought was
C believing that it was not a temporary expedient but a seeming permanent accommodation to what many observers thought of as
D not as a temporary expedient but as a seemingly permanent accommodation to what many obnservers thought was
E not as a temporary expedient but believing it a seemingly permanent accommodation for what many observers thought
想请教一下啊。 答案是D , 我知道not ........but ...........是优选结构, 可是为什么不选C呢, 而且我不太懂D 的语法结构是什么, to 是介词,后面可以跟名词从句,但是不能接完整的主谓结构(这是白勇语法中说的)可是为什么what 从句后面还有一个was 呢?
恩 , 有道理呢。可是我想问问而且我不太懂D 的语法结构是什么, to 是介词,后面可以跟名词从句,但是不能接完整的主谓结构(这是白勇语法中说的)可是为什么what 从句后面还有一个was 呢?
c: seemingly
D: accommodation to +[ ], 人们想的 what people think was
我在网上找到了一些解释,整理如下:
关系代词who, which, that均有先行词, 关系代词所引导之子句是用來形容先行词, 为形容词子句; 但what却不同, 其所引导的是名词子句, 其最大的特色是what前无先行词, 所以:
what = the thing(s) which/that
由上可知,what本身已包括先行词the thing(s)及另外一个关系代词which或that在內,亦即what兼具了先行词及连接词双重功用。
举例: I like the thing which he gave me = I like what he gave me.
The things that you knew yesterday are all right=What you knew yesterday are all right
由上述步骤中可发现, 比以前which/that的合并句子多了最后一個步骤, 亦即將the thing(s) which/that改为what。
因此,在句子理解中,把the thing(s) that/which改为what即可。适用what的句子, 通常为「...的东西」、「所說的话」、「...所做的事」、「...所 想 (希望)的事」、「...的意思」等。
另外的一些例子:
他所說的話是有趣的。
→話「他所說的」是有趣的。
→ The thing that he said is interesting.
→ What he said is interesting.
這些不是我昨晚買的東西。
→ These are not the things that I bought yesterday.
→ These are not what I bought yesterday.
John所做的每件事都是容易的。
→ The things which John did are all easy.
→ What John did are all easy.
D可以看成是:not as a temporary expedient but as a seemingly permanent accommodation to the thing that many obnservers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology .
In D: "what many obnservers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology ."
is not a sentence, just a noun phrase.
In D: "what many obnservers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology ."
is not a sentence, just a noun phrase.
accommodation to what many obnservers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology
the red words can be omitted, and "what was an ...." is just a phrase, not a sentence.
那你的意思是many obnservers thought 是插入语啊
accommodation to the thing that many observers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology
"the thing"就是名词,后面"that"从句修饰"the thing" . "many observers thought"可以忽略不看而不影响句意。即“the thing that was an economy ......"
"what many obnservers thought was an economy made over productive by advances in technology ." 其实就是"the thing that..."的变体,两者没什么区别。无非是省略了“the thing that" 因此你可以把后面一整句话看成一个noun phrase
