大家看看选什么，有人说选D，有人说E

唯一可以确定的是award是及物动词，award sth. to sb. 或award sb. sth.

long-overdue 好像是“迟到了很久的”

另加一题，也是本月考到的

答案是：E (确定)

因为后面考 "in recognition of"，所以不能接 "for"

至于另外一题，答案应该是：E

因为如果是D，那个不定词 to 就可以表示目的，也就是说，当初那个deal中，价格的部分是由于后面的那个原因的。

可是根据题目的句意，应该是指说这整个deal可以达到后面的这个的影响。

D for理解为：这个award是为了对勇敢的迟到认可的奖励，因此逻辑有问题，排除

E用介词短语表进一步的解释说明。

D不定式表示将要进行的动作，而句子的意思表示“已经是事实了”，所以排除

1,同意楼上各位的一件
2，我觉得应该选C吧，as part of a deal that will make，但是请注意will purchase（动词） the color-printing division of a rival company才是part of a deal，as两边明显不对称呀，如果purchase是名词的话两边就对称了

第二题是GMATprep里面的一道题（看来GMATprep真的是GMAT子题库啊），标准答案是E。牛人们的解释如下（我照抄给你）：

A: which指代million不对

B: makes时态不对，应该用将来时，表示将来的预期

C: 分词的形式不能表达出从句才具有的时态感念

D: to make修饰有歧义，原意是a deal make it，不定式的逻辑主语可以是句子主语

E: correct

注意：

1. 分词、不定式、从句用做修饰语时，各自代表的意义的不同

2. a part of , part of 都对

很赞同。BTW，可以用百度搜一下 in recognition of，确实是个词组。

同意大家的，是E啦。
除了大家说的，C中的意思好象这个medal是为了long over-due recognition专门设立似的，其实这个medal都有给那些长期没有得到承认的，和那些最近才建功立业的人啦。
用个comma,就避免了歧义。
