再问下D中的other用的怎么不对了？？adj修饰infection不是蛮好的么？？

而C中的possible优于D中的possibility（抽象名词）

优先级为动词>形容词>抽象名词>动名词

句意: 原先對於傳染病(包含smallpox...)科學家認為皆不可能治癒,

結果自從成功治癒smallpox後, 以前認為不可能治好的病現在都覺得有治癒的希望!

所以用 the other infections (不包含smallpox)是錯的!

关于other的用法我还是很有怀疑，我当初就是因为other所以才错选A

因为我觉得既然smallpox已经eradicate了，所以这个结果stimulate experts to pursue的东西一定是不包含smallpox，所以我在最后AC之间徘徊之时，根据逻辑为王的道理，选择了A——而且OG里面也有因为other和逻辑意思而排除别的选项的做法。

所以这道题目一直没有搞懂！期待指点……

注意，A选项中是of the other infections。

如果指smallpox之外的其它infections这里应该用of other infections，那个the坚决不能要。

one...the other... the other是指二者之中的另外一个，用在这里结构不完整

请教：prep笔记中提到

one… the other　/ one… another，another…　　　都是只有两个吗？

some… the others　
有三个以上 / some… others，others… 有何区别？

我认为应该选C
此句AB用宾语从句，CD用定语从句，E不对。
if not eradication是插入语，better control of infections such as...正确。
the other指的是单数，不能用

C的sth后面能省略that?
