答案E。这题我最初做是对了。但直到现在，觉得自己做这题的思路不清晰，时而情态动词，时而句子结构。想请问，这题最清晰有效的解题思路？

A、DESPITE NO PROOF THAT是模糊的表达，感觉应该是depite on evidence to prove that...，因为句子意思是没有证据表明BLABLA，而THAT从句使得BLABLA变成了证据本身。
B、Despite no foods having been proved to reverse 是立即排除的选项，WORDY
C、错误明显，the consumption... have been，而且the comsumption of no particular foods是比较模糊的表达，不是句子想表达的意思。
D、从句的逻辑主语STUDIES带入后不合理。

从ETS的PREFER来看：
1、当DESPITE和ALTHOUGH同时出现时，ETS倾向于ALTHOUGH，因为它认为这种表达要比DESPITE+NOUN表达要清晰，事实也是如此。
2、尽量先把握句子意思，带着这个意思去判断有时比个别语法点判断更有效

认为此题象实战题目，需要认真体会。

五个选项读下来，E最顺，且：
A，the consumtion…………reverse?? 动词应该单数
B，foods having been proved?? 分词的完成时态修饰作定语不合语法
C，D主要毛病同A

请教一个问题,indicate 与 could 时态冲突,是不是可以排除a , c 呢?

还是could 表示可能性,上句用could 和can 都可以?
