标题: 885 2道题: S17-19 和 S18-13 -- why??
19.Teratomas are unusual forms of cancer because they are composed of tissues such as tooth and bone not normally found in the organ in which the tumor appears.
(A) because they are composed of tissues such as tooth and bone
(B) because they are composed of tissues like tooth and bone that are
(C) because they are composed of tissues, like tooth and bone, tissues
(D) in that their composition, tissues such as tooth and bone, is
(E) in that they are composed of tissues such as tooth and bone, tissues

Why the answer is (E) instead of (C) ?? I think the relationship between tissue in Teratomas and tissues in tooth and bone should be analog. it's not plausible to say tissues in Teratomas are made of tooth and bone...then why we still choose "such as" over "like" ??

Besides, I don't know either why we allow "tissue" repeat itself in the beginning of the 2nd clause, shouldn't it be erased??

1)D更简洁，介词短语>从句，在修饰没有歧义的情况下

2)动词优于名词

若选Ｅ～　那就是在列举（因为列举只可用such as）～但这样就是说tooth and bone　来构成Teratomas的？感觉很奇怪～

like在这里起的作用是，和Teratomas比较，表示像。。。。。意思是：和牙齿一样，Teratomas是一种癌症。意思错误。

另like在GMAT中不能用于举例

according to what you said, then C should be "because they are composed of tissues, like those in tooth and bone, tissues", right?

do not think there is much difference between those two, except "in that" is more literary.

Q19 tissues such as tooth and bone,似乎意指tooth and bone被視為某種tissues,而不是一般認知的tooth和bone這種東西,所以E選項中才重複說明了,tissues that...以表示他說的是bone and tooth這樣的tissues,而不是這兩個東西~that's my understanding..
