D.    that several attempts to revise corporate strategies have failed to correct[h4] 

E.     that several attempts at revising corporate strategies have failed to correct them

 [h1]it指代错误，根本无单数可指代。

so that  在状从中有情态动词时才表目的啊
                        这里表结果吧. so that一般是可以省略that而不是so；

介词+代词的形式, 比做宾语成分的”that”更清楚易懂.

 [h2]'attemp at doing sth' is not a idiom.

 [h3]Them指代不清

 [h4]Ok, that就是引导定语从句，此时翻译为＂那些试图改变公司策略的想法也没能改正技术停滞，营销错误和管理缺陷这些错误.

计算机公司目前的问题是技术停滞，营销错误和管理缺陷综合作用的结果，因此几次试图改变公司策略的努力都失败了。

that在句子中的作用如红字所示,代a result,作correct的宾语.

定语从句为了句子结构不会头重脚轻移到后面了.

“that引导定语从句，
                        作从句的correct的宾语，
                        指代前面并列的三个名词”。

 到底选a 还是e？救命啊，过几天就考了！！

My choice is D.

E is worng because that is the object.

A is wrong because it, from logic, should not refer back to a result.

我觉得是D,that引导的定从修饰前面三个名词

attempt to do sth是固定搭配

a result of 与so that 意思重复

指代的确实是三个原因，即that指代的是technological stagnation, marketingmissteps, and managerial blunders .
a of b that...这个结构that修饰a和b的优先级是一样的。a of b,c and d that 这里面that可以修饰a，也可以修饰b,c, d，看逻辑。

好像这个of往哪里摆都很怪呀？

看了讨论后感觉选A, 说说我的意见，欢迎大家讨论：

A好像是 It 离指代的result太远，非常不明显。但是从文章看，指代歧义是可以避免的，result是离it最近的单数名词，而且意思是通的。

(A 的意思是，这个公司面临的问题是1, 2, 3,三个原因造成的，非常复杂，所以，公司好多次要战略转型的努力都失败了。）---突出了一个因果关系。

从选项D来看，如果用定从来修饰result, 这句的表述语法没问题，只是意思上和A就不同了。

(D的意思是，这个公司面临的问题是1, 2, 3,三个原因的导致的，这个结果非常麻烦，公司做了很多次战略转型的努力都没有能改正它。）---有点重复和罗嗦，突出的意思是问题的复杂性。

另外，D选项毕竟还有一点美中不足，就是关系代词that 离result太远了，不容易联系上。

所以，个人还是倾向与选A的。

哪个牛牛能讲清楚一点，我觉得这个题是定语从句，可是在考场上怎么分析啊、in addition, the answer "d' has so many confusions among the learners, can it be the best answer ? sounds ridiculous~~

看了一圈我觉得只有两个解释make sense
1. that引导的定语从句修饰前面并列的三个名词
2. that引导的定语从句修饰troubles, 定从后置

至于考场上,我觉得靠排除法吧. it指代有问题排除A; correct及物动词没有宾语排除B; in that表原因逻辑不同排除C; 定语从句引导词that和句尾的them只能留一个排除E

1.我认为 so that可以看成一个连词+完整的主谓宾句。且so必须修饰东西，应该不能修饰主系表结构，修饰名词用such

2.that 同时修饰三个可以（同意a斑斑），因为我曾经也看见过that同时修饰A and B的，由此推广可行

为什么支持that从句修饰blunders的同志很少呢？
that优先修饰的应该本来就是紧邻的名词吧~而且意思上也很能说得通：

做及物动词时：
attempt to do sth.
attempt sth.
做名词时：
an attempt at (doing) sth.
an attempt to do sth. 但是不及attempt to do sth.简洁有效

同意，prep上有an attempt at doing的用法，觉得E项的错误不在attempt，应该在them
